Which pack takes a 16-inch laptop?
Commuter Pack 22 L and Carry-On Travel Pack 40 L both take a 16-inch machine; Ridge takes 15 in, Canvas 14 in and Packable 13 in. The sleeve is suspended off the base on the Commuter and the Travel pack.
How is volume measured?
By fill test — packing peanuts poured into the main compartment until it is full — rather than quoted from the supplier. Outside pockets are not counted.
Will the 40 L fit as a carry-on?
It is 22 × 14 × 9 in, inside most US domestic limits. Some European carriers cap height at 21.5 in, so check yours before you fly.
Canvas or recycled polyester?
Waxed canvas is heavier, quieter and repairable; recycled polyester is lighter, dries faster and shrugs off rain. Both are on the product pages with their weights.
Orders & shipping
When will my order ship?
Within 1–2 business days, from San Bernardino, California. Orders placed after 2pm Pacific Time, or at the weekend, start the next business day.
Is shipping free?
Standard shipping in the contiguous US is free on orders over $75, otherwise $7. Expedited is $14. Alaska and Hawaii are $12 standard and $22 expedited.
Do you charge sales tax?
Yes, where required by law. Tax is calculated at checkout from your delivery address. The combined rate for San Bernardino is 8.75%, and delivery charges are not taxed when stated separately.
Returns & repairs
Can I return a pack I have loaded at home?
Yes, provided it is unused and the tags are still on. Send it back within 30 days; the first return of an order ships free.
Do you repair packs?
Yes. Zips, straps and stitching are covered for two years; we repair rather than replace where we can, and postage is on us for the first year.
